The College of Pharmacy at Ninevah University held the second meeting of its Industrial Advisory Council for the year 2026 on Tuesday, 23 June 2026, under the chairmanship of the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Maysar Mohammed Al-Qutji, and in the presence of members of the College Council and representatives of healthcare and industrial institutions, including:
• Dr. Ikram Abdullah – Director of the Intravenous Solutions Manufacturing Plant
• Pharmacist Mustafa Basil Al-Khayyat – Head of the Scientific Committee at the Nineveh Health Directorate
• Pharmacist Shaimaa Hadi Saeed – Clinical Training Coordinator at Al-Salam Hospital
The meeting discussed the extent to which the College’s vision and objectives align with labor market demands and the needs of the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries. Discussions also focused on mechanisms for enhancing the professional and practical competencies of students and graduates, as well as strengthening clinical and experiential training programs.
The participants emphasized the vital role of the Industrial Advisory Council in supporting the development of academic curricula and learning outcomes, while fostering collaboration between the College and healthcare and industrial institutions. Such cooperation contributes to preparing highly qualified pharmacy graduates capable of meeting labor market requirements and serving the community effectively and efficiently.
