As part of its ongoing commitment to enhancing the scientific and practical competencies of its staff, the College of Pharmacy at Ninevah University organized a three-day training course entitled “Microbial Hazards and Methods for Their Detection and Diagnosis,” held from 20 to 23 June 2026.
The course addressed the major biological hazards associated with viruses, bacteria, and mycotoxins, with particular emphasis on early detection strategies and their vital role in safeguarding public health and strengthening biosafety measures.
The course was delivered by the following faculty members:

- Assistant Lecturer Dina Nawfal
- Assistant Lecturer Mustafa Ghanem
During the course, the instructors presented advanced practical aspects of laboratory diagnosis and provided comprehensive training on analytical and diagnostic procedures using Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) and Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) techniques. They also highlighted the latest applications of these technologies in the diagnosis of infectious agents and the detection of various biological hazards.
This training course reflects the College’s continued commitment to strengthening the scientific and technical capabilities of its staff by equipping them with up-to-date knowledge and practical skills that contribute to improving laboratory performance and enhancing the accuracy of biological hazard detection and analysis in accordance with internationally recognized scientific standards.
