Coordination Meeting to Strengthen Clinical Training and Scientific Collaboration between the College of Pharmacy, University of Nineveh, and the Nineveh Health Directorate

Within the framework of the joint scientific cooperation agreement between the College of Pharmacy, University of Nineveh, and the Nineveh Health Directorate, and in line with the commitment to strengthening integration between academic and healthcare institutions, the Deanship of the College of Pharmacy held a coordination meeting with the Nineveh Health Directorate on the morning of Thursday, 6 August 2026, to discuss a number of areas of mutual interest.

The meeting was chaired by the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Prof. Dr. Maysar Mohammed Ali Al-Qoutji, and attended by Consultant Dr. Waleed Mohammed Bashir, Director of the Training and Human Development Department at the Nineveh Health Directorate; Dr. Omar Dhnoon, Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs; Dr. Yasser Hazem, Head of the Department of Pharmaceutics; and Dr. Abir Mansour, Clinical Training Coordinator.

The meeting included an in-depth discussion of the current status of clinical and field training for College students in hospitals and teaching healthcare institutions, as well as a review of mechanisms for its development and the enhancement of students’ practical learning experiences in ways that contribute to strengthening their professional competencies.

The meeting also addressed prospects for expanding scientific and research collaboration between the two institutions through supporting joint research projects, promoting the exchange of scientific and professional expertise, and developing collaborative initiatives that contribute to improving the quality of pharmaceutical education and enhancing its role in serving the healthcare sector and the wider community.
