In a distinguished scientific presence reflecting the growing academic and research standing of the College of Pharmacy at the University of Nineveh, the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Maysar Mohammed Ali Al-Qutji, participated as a speaker at the International Scientific Conference on Pharmaceutical Sciences (PharmSci 2026), held in Newcastle, United Kingdom, from 7 to 9 September 2026.
Prof. Dr. Al-Qutji was selected among the distinguished speakers at the conference in recognition of his scientific and research contributions. He presented his research paper entitled:
“Targeted Topical Delivery of Metformin to the Intestine Enhances GLP-1-Mediated Metabolic Effects”
The study addressed a topic related to recent advances in drug delivery and GLP-1-mediated metabolic effects, in line with contemporary research directions aimed at developing more efficient and precise therapeutic and pharmaceutical approaches.
The conference focused on the major challenges shaping the future of pharmaceutical research and industry. It highlighted emerging trends in drug development and delivery, pharmaceutical formulation design, data science, artificial intelligence, and sustainability, while also exploring approaches to developing next-generation medicines and improving the efficiency of their delivery to patients.
This international scientific participation represents an extension of the College of Pharmacy’s commitment to strengthening its presence at international scientific forums and consolidating its role in pharmaceutical scientific research.
