Ninevah University Celebrates Students’ Academic Excellence through the Launch of the First Student Scientific Conference on Graduation Research at the College of Pharmacy

Under the patronage and in the presence of the President of Ninevah University, Professor Dr. Osama Ismail Al-Mashhadani, and under the slogan “Through Knowledge We Advance… Through Research We Innovate,” the College of Pharmacy at Ninevah University organized the First Student Scientific Conference for Graduation Research of Fifth-Year Students on Monday, 15 June 2026. The conference represented a significant academic initiative aimed at showcasing students’ research achievements, promoting a culture of scientific inquiry and innovation, and providing students with an opportunity to present their projects before a distinguished audience of academics and specialists.

The conference featured the best research projects selected by the Scientific Committee from among the graduation projects submitted during the current academic year. These projects were chosen for their scientific quality, originality, and the significance of their findings and recommendations.

The event was attended by Professor Dr. Muzahim Al-Khayyat; the Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Jaafar Ramadan Mohammed; the Dean of the College of Pharmacy at Al-Hadbaa University, Professor Dr. Fares Al-Abbaji; the Head of the Pharmacy Department at Al-Qabas University, Assistant Professor Dr. Tariq Mahmoud; and Mr. Mohammed Fadhil, Director of the Pharmacy and Medical Supplies Department, representing the Nineveh Health Directorate. The conference also attracted a number of distinguished academics, faculty members, and researchers.

The proceedings commenced with a speech by the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Professor Dr. Maysar Mohammed Al-Qutji, who praised the students’ efforts and research accomplishments. He emphasized that these projects represent the culmination of five years of learning, training, and the acquisition of scientific knowledge and professional skills. He further highlighted the College’s commitment to fostering rigorous scientific research and preparing graduates to become competent pharmacists and researchers capable of serving society and advancing the profession.

The conference included scientific sessions dedicated to presenting and discussing the selected research projects, in addition to a poster exhibition that reflected the diversity and breadth of research across various pharmaceutical disciplines. The presentations generated considerable engagement and constructive discussions among attendees and specialists.

At the conclusion of the scientific sessions, the three best graduation projects were selected and their authors were honored in recognition of their academic excellence and outstanding research performance.

The conference also witnessed the administration of the Professional Oath by the graduating students in a solemn and memorable ceremony, symbolizing their commitment to the ethical principles of the pharmacy profession and its humanitarian and societal responsibilities, as they transition from academic study to professional practice and service.

The event concluded with the presentation of certificates of appreciation to members of the scientific and organizing committees, as well as to participants, in recognition of their distinguished efforts and valuable contributions to the success of this scientific event and to the professional and objective evaluation of the research projects.

In an atmosphere of pride and celebration, the College administration and faculty members joined the graduates in commemorating this special occasion. Group photographs were taken to mark the event, creating lasting memories of years of dedication, perseverance, and achievement, and serving as a cherished milestone in the students’ academic and professional journeys.
