In accordance with the directives of the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers and to implement one of the paragraphs of the government program in implementing e-governance in all state departments and institutions, and in cooperation between the ministries (Higher Education and Scientific Research, Culture, Tourism and Antiquities, Communications) and under the direction of the President of the University of Nineveh, Professor Dr. Osama Al-Mashhadani, and under the supervision of the Administrative Assistant, Prof. Dr. Ammar Saadoun Hamid, and the Dean of the College of Information Technology, Prof. Dr. Manar Kashmoula, and in the presence of the Scientific Assistant of the College of Information Technology, Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Othman.
On Wednesday, 2024/8/27, a group of lecturers from the College of Information Technology at the University of Nineveh participated in the Engineers Hall, in giving lectures in the first workshop of the Second E-Governance Conference in Nineveh 2024, entitled (Material Requirements and Infrastructure Necessary for Successful E-Governance), in addition to the participation of members of the Liberation Association for Development, and professors from the University of Mosul, with the support and sponsorship of (NB TEL) Communications Company.
The workshop was attended by a number of representatives of the Diwan and departments of Nineveh Governorate, all of whom are specialists, approximately (168) participants. The workshop included a welcoming speech to the participants, and a lecture on good governance presented by the Liberation Association for Development, in addition to lectures presented by professors from the College of Information Technology at our university, as follows: –
1- Introduction to E-Governance (Assistant Professor Dr. Mona Salem Hussein) University of Nineveh.
2- Objectives and Benefits of E-Governance (Dr. Ahmed Azmi Mustafa) University of Hamdaniya.
3- Information Technology Infrastructure (Dr. Hisham Hashim Al-Shakarji) Northern Technical University.
4- Information Security, Data Protection and the Role of Artificial Intelligence (Dr. Ali Hashim Al-Shakarji) University of Nineveh.
5- Building the Infrastructure for E-Governance (Dr. Omar Sami Taha) University of Nineveh.
6- Government Systems and Applications (Dr. Hudhaifa Luay Muhammad) University of Nineveh.
7- Practical Application on Designing an E-Government Communication Network (Mr. Hisham Jassim Muhammad) NB TEL Company.
At the conclusion of the first workshop, discussions, a questionnaire and an electronic test were conducted for the participants by the Prof. Dr. Mufaaz Mohsen /computer center of University of Mosul, to find out the extent of the participants’ benefit from this workshop, and in preparation for launching the second level and holding the second workshop, which is scheduled to be held on 9/9/2024, wishing our university professors continued giving and progress and the participants success and success in serving our beloved country.
