Under the patronage of the esteemed President of Nineveh University, Prof.Dr. Osama Al-Mashhadani, and under the supervision of the respected Dean of the College of Information Technology, Prof.Dr. Manar Younis Kashmoula,
the Qualification Unit at the College of Information Technology organized a training course titled “Learning, Mastering, and Developing GitHub Skills.” This course took place on Sunday and Monday, March 23 and 24, 2025, in Hall (3) of the college building.
The course was delivered by Dr. Balqis Talal Hassan and focused on training participants in both fundamental and advanced skills for utilizing GitHub. Topics covered included repository creation, project uploads, and effective collaborative work within a professional development environment.
The objective of the course is to empower students to use GitHub effectively in their graduation projects, enhancing their skills in code management and collaboration with peers. This initiative aims to improve the experience of collaborative work and the simultaneous development of software projects.
Additionally, the course addressed the significance of GitHub in the job market, as it is considered one of the essential tools required in the technical field. This knowledge enhances students’ prospects for securing future employment or pursuing graduate studies, given its role in demonstrating professionalism in both academic and software development work, whether individually or within development teams.
