As part of the activities of the Science and Technology Parks Department – Career Development and Follow-up Unit, and in accordance with the unit’s annual plan, the Career Development and Follow-up Unit at the College of Information Technology held a training workshop on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, entitled: “Software Development Models.”
The workshop was presented by Dr. Maysar Dali Hamad and targeted college students to introduce them to the concept of software development and its importance in modern technological advancements, in addition to developing their practical skills in building smart applications.
The workshop included a systematic presentation of software development aimed at reducing application risks through advance planning and the creation of predictable timelines. This ensures that these applications meet customer expectations while also guaranteeing low costs and high quality, thus enabling risk assessment and management.
The workshop emphasized the importance of software development in bridging the gap between academic knowledge and modern practical applications, and in supporting students to initiate applied projects that contribute to the job market and meet its needs
