Dean of the College of Information Technology Chairs a Master’s Thesis Defense Committee at the College of Computer Science and Mathematics, University of Mosul
In line with the memorandum of scientific collaboration with the University of Mosul,
On Tuesday, April 8, 2025, Prof. Dr. Manar Younis Ahmed, Dean of the College of Information Technology, chaired a thesis defense committee at the College of Computer Science and Mathematics, Department of Computer Science, University of Mosul, for student Rana Fathi Obeid. The thesis was titled “Designing an Electronic System for Automating Administrative Forms for Employees of the University of Mosul,” under the supervision of Asst . Prof. Dr. Adi Hashim Saeed.
The study focused on automating the leave management system within the framework of Electronic Human Resource Management (E-HRM), aiming to enhance administrative efficiency and eliminate obstacles posed by traditional paper-based systems, such as delays in processing, frequent errors, and difficulties in tracking transactions.
The student emphasized in her research the importance of digital transformation through the adoption of flexible and secure electronic systems with interactive interfaces, which contribute to expediting and standardizing processes while reducing paperwork. This approach ensures improved quality of administrative performance and safeguards sensitive information through stringent control systems.

At the conclusion of the defense, the committee expressed its appreciation for the student’s efforts in preparing the thesis and acknowledged the results she achieved, which could contribute to supporting the digital transformation journey in higher education institutions
