Dean of College of Information Technology Honored by Committee of Deans of Computer Science and Information Technology Colleges

The President of Karbala University, Professor Sabah Wajid Ali, honored Professor Manar Younis Kashmoula, Dean of the College of Information Technology at the University of Nineveh, during a session honoring the Committee of Deans of Computer Science and Information Technology Colleges in Iraq. The session was held on the sidelines of a meeting hosted by the university and chaired by Dr. Suha Mohammed Hadi.

This honor recognizes the committee’s active role in supporting academic and technological advancement, particularly its efforts in developing curricula and improving the educational and research environment in computer science and information technology colleges across Iraqi universities.

Professor Sabah Wajid praised the committee’s ongoing work, emphasizing that its activities contribute significantly to the advancement of the technology sector, meeting the needs of the labor market, and keeping pace with global developments in computer science and technology.

For their part, the members of the Deans’ Committee expressed their gratitude to the University of Karbala for this recognition, emphasizing that it serves as an additional incentive to continue working towards enhancing the standing of technical disciplines and supporting joint research projects and academic programs among universities.

It is worth noting that the Deans’ Committee of Computer Science and Information Technology Colleges is one of the most important sectoral committees within the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, given its pivotal role in shaping academic policies, updating curricula, and developing mechanisms for scientific cooperation with local and international institutions
