Delegation from the College of Law at Nineveh University Visits the College of Information Technology to Enhance Academic Collaboration

In line with the directives of the esteemed President of Nineveh University, Prof. Dr. Osama Al-Mashhadani, aimed at strengthening the bonds of cooperation among the university’s colleges, and under the supervision of the respected Dean of the College of Information Technology, Prof.Dr. Manar Younis Kashmoola,

the College of Information Technology welcomed a delegation from the College of Law on Thursday, April 10, 2025. The visit aimed to facilitate the exchange of expertise and open avenues for joint academic collaboration.

The delegation was received by the Associate Dean for Scientific Affairs, Asst. Prof. Dr . Ali Othman, and the Head of the Computer Networks and Internet Department, Dr. Azhar Sabah.

The visit included a tour of the college’s laboratories, beginning with the Logic Lab, where Engineer Abdulrahman Mohammed Hadi delivered an introductory lecture providing an overview of the College of Information Technology and its specializations, along with an explanation of computer networks and the devices used in the lab, particularly microcontrollers. He also highlighted the role of artificial intelligence and its potential applications in the legal field, which could facilitate a future work environment for graduates of the College of Law. The lecture garnered significant engagement from the students.

The tour also included a visit to the Software Lab, where Programmer Saba Mohammed Saleh Jameel presented a video introduction showcasing the lab’s capabilities and available technologies. This was followed by a lecture from Programmer Farah Mazen Mohammed Saber on the topic of cybercrime, emphasizing the importance of collaboration between the Colleges of Law and Information Technology in addressing this type of crime.

At the conclusion of the visit, Dr. Azhar Sabah offered a series of tips and guidance to the students, noting that the doors of the college are always open to all students seeking knowledge and collaboration.

The delegation from the College of Law expressed their sincere gratitude for the warm welcome and the wealth of valuable information shared during the visit, which is expected to enrich the academic journey of their students
