The College of Information Technology held a welcome meeting for first-year students, beginning with a speech by the Dean, Professor Dr. Manar Younis Kashmoula, who welcomed the new students and offered them a set of guidelines and instructions related to adhering to campus ethics and positively integrating into the academic environment.
This was followed by a speech from the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Othman, who emphasized the importance of students choosing to major in Information Technology and the vast future opportunities this field offers, stressing the college’s support for them in their academic journey.
The Head of the Software Department, Dr. Ali Mohsen Ahmed, then delivered a welcoming speech to the students, which included a comprehensive overview of the Software Department, its vital role in the job market, and the importance of computer software in the digital age.
Dr. Mahmoud Fawzi also gave a speech introducing the College of Information Technology, its academic programs, and its mission to prepare qualified professionals capable of keeping pace with modern technological developments.
The meeting concluded with a speech by the Head of the Artificial Intelligence Department, Dr. Lubna Dhunoun Ahmedi, who welcomed the students, explaining that they were the first cohort in this newly established department. She emphasized the importance of this emerging specialization and urged them to strive for excellence
