Under the patronage of the President of the University of Nineveh, Prof. Dr. Osama Al-Mashhadani, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Information Technology, Prof. Dr. Manar Younis Kashmoula.

On Thursday, February 27, 2025, the Psychological Counseling Unit, in cooperation with the Women’s Affairs Unit and the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Information Technology, held a scientific seminar entitled “Empowering the University Student: Behaviors, Rights, and Directions for the Future”.

The seminar was attended by the Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Jaafar Ramadan, and the head of the Human Rights Division at the University, Dr. Uday Shihab, in addition to a number of faculty members and students.

The seminar was opened by the Dean of the College, who welcomed the attendees and emphasized the importance of educating students about their university rights and duties.

The seminar included

1- A speech on human rights, presented by Dr. Adi Shihab.

2- A lecture on the rules and regulations of student behavior and student rights on campus, delivered by Dr. Ahmed Mahfouz.

3- A lecture on choosing appropriate study majors, especially for women, and their compatibility with the needs of the labor market, presented by Dr. Sahbaa Nizar Taha.

4- A lecture on effective strategies to deal with stress during exams, delivered by Dr. Taiba Nizam Shukr.

At the conclusion of the seminar, the Dean of the College extended her thanks and appreciation to all participants in organizing this event, and certificates of thanks and appreciation were distributed to the organizing committees in recognition of their efforts in making the event a success.
