Because of the difficult and exceptional circumstances due to the outbreak of the pandemic Corona virus, which led to the interruption of most of the joints of life, but work is ongoing in our beloved Ninevah University. For the continuation of the academic process, the President of the University directed that the University Council convene in the presence of all its members an electronic meeting, and on Thursday, 3/19/2020, the eleventh session was held electronically under the chairmanship of Prof. Dr. Muzahm Al-Khyatt. The council discussed the following:
• The President instructed to follow up on the situation of the Al-Jawsaq campus, where that district was flooded by the heavy rain in the previous two days.
• E-learning, which witnessed large participation of academics who submitted electronic lectures. The President urged students to follow the lectures through the MOODLE platform currently available on the university’s website, or on other platforms in coordination with the academic staff at the university until the development of the Internet server for the university’s website .
• The President of the University discussed the possibility of cooperation between the College of Medicine and the Directorate of Health in Ninevah Governorate, to offer help in testing for Corona virus of suspects. Moreover, to provide medical consultations through consultant physicians in our university.
• Scimago classification and how Ninevah University can be included in Scimago classification, and urging academics to publish their research in descent scientific journals.
