A faculty member from the College of Nursing at the University of Ninevah receives a Master’s degree from the College of Nursing at the University of Mosul.

On Wednesday, July 31, 2024, Mr. Saher Mal Allah Mohammed Ali, a member of the College of Nursing at the University of Ninevah, obtained a Master’s degree with distinction from the College of Nursing at the University of Mosul in the field of Nursing Sciences for his thesis entitled “Exploring Mindfulness Among Nursing Leaders: A Cross-Sectional Study.”

The study aimed to assess the levels of mindfulness among nursing leaders, examine its impact on leadership behaviors and job satisfaction, and explore its potential role in reducing occupational stress.

The thesis concluded with several recommendations, including:

The necessity of establishing regular mindfulness training workshops and support groups to enhance mindfulness and improve mental health among staff.

The thesis defense was held in the discussion hall at the College of Pharmacy at the University of Mosul, in the presence of Dr. Salwa Hazem Al-Mukhtar, Dean of the College of Nursing at the University of Mosul, and Dr. Zeina Abdul Munim Abdul Majeed, Dean of the College of Pharmacy.

The defense committee was chaired by Assistant Professor Dr. Anmar Burhan Saeed Al-Dewaji from the College of Medicine at the University of Mosul, with members including Assistant Professor Dr. Sarhang Qader Surji from Hawler Medical University / College of Nursing, and Professor Hanadi Jabbar Mahmoud from the College of Nursing / University of Mosul, supervised and co-chaired by Professor Dr. Radwan Hussein Ibrahim from the College of Nursing / University of Nineveh.
