The Media and Government Communications Department organized a training workshop titled “Media Studies: Navigating the Digital Landscape.”

Under the guidance of the University President, Prof.Dr. Osama Al-Mashhadani, and in light of the significant advancements in media in today’s world and the impact of digital technologies on communication, culture, and society, the Media and Government Communications Department at the University of Ninevah, in collaboration with the Association for Liberation and Development, held a training workshop on Wednesday and Thursday, November 6-7, 2024. The workshop, titled “Media Studies: Navigating the Digital Landscape,” targeted university media personnel and college faculty members.

The workshop was led by Mr. Jameel Al-Jameel, who, on the first day, presented an introduction to media studies, the evolution of media and its role in influencing public opinion and culture, the impact of modern digital technologies on traditional media, and media ethics and its role in society.

The second day included a lecture on storytelling, content creation, and digital media and communication, especially with the rise of digital media platforms. It covered the dynamics of social media and its impact on society, as well as explaining digital marketing strategies to achieve broader audience reach.

In conclusion, participants expressed appreciation for the workshop, recognizing the valuable insights provided that will contribute to the development of media practices across all university departments.
