The College of Pharmacy at the University of Ninevah recently concluded its training course titled “Biological, Chemical, and Radiological Hazards and How to Handle Them.” The course, held over three days from Monday to Wednesday, November 4-6, 2024, was attended by faculty members and students involved in laboratory work.
The course was presented by:

The course aimed to educate students and faculty on occupational safety related to laboratory work and how to handle potential hazards to maintain a safe working environment in laboratories. The goal was to reduce and prevent injuries or accidents due to failure to follow safety and security protocols.
The course concluded with several recommendations, including emphasizing the use of safety measures in laboratories, such as wearing gloves, lab coats, and protective goggles when conducting experiments that produce fumes or strong odors under the fume hood.
