Dr. Sarmad Fakhr Al-Din Ismail, a faculty member at the College of Electronics Engineering – Department of Electronic Engineering and Head of the Cultural Relations Division at the University of Ninevah, has achieved third place across Turkey in the 2024 PhD Thesis Competition organized by the IEEE GRSS Turkey Chapter.
The title of his PhD thesis was:
“Deep Domain Adaptation for the Semantic Segmentation of Remote Sensing Images”
This accomplishment represents a significant addition to the research achievements of both the college and the university.
On this occasion, the University President, Prof. Dr. Osama Al-Mashhadani, along with the Dean of the College of Electronics Engineering, extended their congratulations to Dr. Sarmad Fakhr Al-Din, wishing him and the university’s faculty continued success and progress.
