The Continuing Education Center at our university concluded its course titled “Latest Developments in Oncology” on Thursday, February 13, 2025. Oncology, known as one of the branches of medicine dealing with the diagnosis and treatment of cancer, has been witnessing rapid and continuous advancements. Therefore, raising awareness among the university staff and the community to keep up with these developments is of utmost importance.
The course was delivered by:

The course covered various topics, including:
• An introduction to different types of cancer, their causes, symptoms, diagnostic methods, and treatment options.
• The latest diagnostic technologies, such as molecular imaging and liquid biopsies.
• Advanced treatments, including immunotherapy, gene therapy, and targeted therapy.
• The significance of palliative care in improving the quality of life for cancer patients.
• Methods of cancer prevention and the importance of adopting a healthy lifestyle.
The course aimed to familiarize participants with the latest advancements in oncology, enhance their skills in managing cancer patients, and provide the best possible care. Additionally, it sought to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and experiences to contribute to the overall development of the field.
