President of the University of Ninevah Honors Lecturer Dina Namir for Receiving the Association of Arab Universities Award for Best Master’s Thesis in 2025

In line with the University of Ninevah’s commitment to honoring its distinguished members, and as part of the series of achievements accomplished by our university staff,

On Tuesday, April 29, 2025, the President of the University of Ninevah, Prof. Dr. Osama Al-Mashhadani, honored Lecturer Dr. Dina Namir Al-Jubouri from the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the College of Electronics Engineering with a certificate of appreciation and the university shield. This recognition was awarded for her achievement in winning the Association of Arab Universities Award for Best Master’s Thesis in 2025 in the field of basic and applied sciences. Her thesis addressed the use of modern digital technology to achieve the sustainable development goals in the area of green economy and its impact on human health. She participated with her work as part of the activities of the 57th General Conference of the Association of Arab Universities, graciously hosted by the International University – Kuwait during the period of April 23–24, 2025.

The thesis, supervised by Professor Dr. Qais Thanoon from the college, was titled:

“Electrical Characterization of Collection Efficiency in Perovskite Solar Cells”

During the meeting, the University President praised the efforts of both the researcher and her supervisor in elevating the university’s name in international forums. He emphasized that this achievement is a clear testament to the university’s academic excellence and the quality of its education, as well as the distinction of its researchers in selecting topics that address contemporary issues and serve society.

For her part, the lecturer expressed her gratitude to the University Presidency and the College Deanery for their continued support of university staff. She commended the leadership’s approach in encouraging the participation of its researchers in various scientific and international forums, wishing continued prosperity and progress for our beloved university.
