The workshop was conducted and presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Laith Rabah Mohammed, in the presence of a group of faculty members and individuals interested in enhancing international cooperation.
During the workshop, Dr. Laith highlighted the main points of the memorandum of understanding signed between the University of Ninevah and Gadjah Mada University (UGM) in Indonesia, explaining that it represents a vital gateway for academic openness and exchange of expertise, particularly in the fields of nursing sciences and healthcare.

• Identifying priorities for cooperation, such as curriculum development, clinical training, and strengthening scientific research.
• Activating academic exchange programs for faculty members and students through scientific visits and joint projects.
• Utilizing the advanced academic and technical resources of UGM to modernize teaching and assessment methods in the college.
Dr. Laith also emphasized the importance of directing cooperation toward applied research related to community healthcare, given its direct impact on improving the local health situation in Ninevah Province.
At the end of the workshop, the floor was opened for discussion, during which several practical suggestions were presented, including: forming a joint coordination committee with the Indonesian side, launching virtual training programs, and organizing specialized scientific workshops in advanced nursing fields.
This workshop comes as part of the College of Nursing’s ongoing efforts to strengthen international collaboration, enhance academic staff capacity, and develop the educational process in line with global standards.
