Under the patronage of the President of the University of Ninevah, Professor Dr. Osama Al-Mashhadani, and as part of the university’s ongoing efforts to enhance the skills of its staff members,
the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Medicine, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Pharmacy, organized a three-day training course titled “First Aid” from July 1 to 3, 2025.
The course was delivered by Dr. Uday Shihab Ahmed and Assistant Lecturer Israa Abbas Ali. It was attended by a number of university staff and faculty members, as well as participants from other institutions.
The course featured a detailed presentation on the most important procedures to follow in emergency situations such as burns, wounds, choking, seizures, and other sudden incidents.
The course concluded with several key recommendations, including:
• Administering first aid immediately according to the type of emergency,
• Emphasizing the importance of contacting the emergency services via the number (911).
