Under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Professor Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, and under the supervision and follow-up of the President of the University of Ninevah, Prof. Dr. Osama Al-Mashhadani, a delegation from the University of Ninevah participated in the activities of the First Conference of Editorial Boards of Iraqi Scientific Journals. The event was hosted by the University of Technology on September 9–10, 2025, under the slogan: “Advancing Iraqi Journals to Global Horizons.”
The university’s delegation was headed by the University Vice President for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Jaafar Ramadan Mohammed, with the participation of the Assistant Deans for Scientific Affairs from the university’s colleges, in addition to the Editor-in-Chief and members of the editorial board of the Nineveh Journal for Legal Studies.
The conference, which witnessed broad attendance from editors-in-chief and editorial board members of journals across Iraqi universities, discussed effective ways to advance the status of national scientific journals and enhance their quality and academic credibility. This is aimed at enabling their inclusion in international indexing databases. The conference also emphasized the importance of encouraging Iraqi researchers to publish their distinguished research in these journals, thereby strengthening their academic presence at both regional and international levels.
