Under the patronage of the President of the University of Ninevah, Prof. Dr. Osama Al-Mashhadani, and the supervision of the Assistant President for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Jaafar Ramadan Mohammed, the University of Ninevah organized its scientific symposium entitled “Quality Publishing: The Gateway of Universities to Global Rankings” on Monday, October 6, 2025, with the attendance of the University Council members and a distinguished group of researchers.
The symposium commenced with an opening speech delivered by the University President, who emphasized the importance of strengthening scientific and academic publishing in reputable international databases. He affirmed the University’s ongoing efforts to achieve its vision and ambition toward international recognition.
Following that, the Assistant President for Scientific Affairs presented a report highlighting statistics on the University’s research publications indexed in prestigious international repositories across various fields. He also stressed the importance of establishing international research partnerships with global institutions.
The symposium included three presentations delivered by:
1. Prof. Dr. Jaafar Ramadan Mohammed, Assistant President for Scientific Affairs — “Scientific Research: Between Rigor and Challenges.”
2. Prof. Dr. Khalil Hassan Sayed Mar’i, Head of the Global Rankings Committee — “Global University Rankings.”
3. Asst. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Abdul-Jalil, Director of the Department of Postgraduate Studies — “Indicators of Scientific Publishing at the University of Ninevah.”
