Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Osama Al-Mashhadani, President of the University of Ninevah, the Computer Center, in cooperation with the Department of Scientific Affairs, organized on October 19, 2025, at the College of Medicine – Prof. Dr. Muzahim Al-Khayat Hall, a series of in-person workshops titled:
“University E-Services and Access to Global Databases (WoS or Scopus).”
The workshop targeted faculty members, researchers, and postgraduate students, aiming to enhance their academic and research skills by training them on the optimal use of the university’s electronic services and accessing their accounts on international research platforms such as Scopus and Web of Science (WoS). The ultimate goal is to contribute to the advancement of the scientific output of the University of Ninevah.
The workshop was presented by:
• Asst. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Abduljaleel Ibrahim – Director of the Department of Graduate Studies Affairs
• Asst. Prof. Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Salama – College of Electronics Engineering
• Asst. Prof. Dr. Laith Rabah Mohammed – Director of the Department of Scholarships and Cultural Relations
• Dr. Ahmed Nashwan Al-Dabbagh – Director of the Computer Center
The workshop witnessed remarkable attendance and interaction from faculty members, researchers, and postgraduate students, who emphasized the importance of such training in facilitating access to reliable global research resources and enhancing their ability to use academic tools for research performance analysis.
The organization of this event aligns with the University of Ninevah’s mission to develop academic and research capacities and to apply the latest technologies in higher education. The university administration also reaffirmed its commitment to continuing to organize specialized events that contribute to supporting both the educational and research processes.
