University of Ninevah Enters the QS Arab Region University Rankings 2026

The QS World University Rankings announced the results of its Arab Region 2026 edition, which included 36 Iraqi universities, among them the University of Ninevah, which achieved positive and competitive positions reflecting its continuous progress in education and scientific research.

This year’s ranking featured 296 academic institutions from across the Arab world and was based on a set of global indicators, the most notable of which include:
• Academic Reputation (30%)
• Employer Reputation (20%)
• Faculty-to-Student Ratio (15%)
• International Research Network (10%)
• Web Impact (5%)
• Faculty with PhD (5%)
• Citations per Paper (5%)
• Papers per Faculty (5%)
• International Faculty Ratio (2.5%)
• International Student Ratio (2.5%)

According to the official QS website (topuniversities.com), the University of Ninevah ranked 25th among Iraqi universities included in the list and placed within the 191–200 range in the overall Arab Region ranking.

This achievement marks a significant milestone in the university’s journey, highlighting its academic and scientific advancement despite its relatively recent establishment. It also reaffirms the university’s commitment to achieving quality and international accreditation across all its academic and administrative sectors.

On this occasion, Prof. Dr. Osama Al-Mashhadani, President of the University, congratulated the University Council members, staff, and students on this accomplishment, emphasizing that it will serve as a strong motivation for further progress in future international rankings.
