The University of Ninevah participated in the training course on developing and building the competencies of employees in higher education institutions, held in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan from October 15–16, 2025, at the Rotana Hotel – Amman. The course targeted directors of scholarships and cultural relations departments in Iraqi universities. The University of Ninevah was represented in the ministerial delegation by Asst. Prof. Dr. Laith Rabah Al-Sufi, Director of the Department of Scholarships and Cultural Relations.
The training course covered a range of important topics in the field of the internationalization of higher education institutions and enhancing the efficiency of academic and administrative staff, including:
1. Concepts and methods of academic internationalization in light of the Bologna Declaration and the Lisbon Recognition Convention.
2. Mechanisms for participation in European Erasmus+ programs and steps for preparing institutional cooperation agreements.
3. Developing skills in preparing Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE) projects and managing international academic partnerships.
The participation of the University of Ninevah comes as part of its commitment to strengthening international cooperation, exchanging academic expertise, and building an active network with Arab and European higher education institutions — contributing to the enhancement of the university’s institutional and research performance.
