Graduates of the College of Medicine at the University of Ninevah Participate in the “Medical Conduct” Course and Take the Medical Oath

In the presence of the Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Higher Education, Professor Dr. Mazahim Al-Khayyat, the President of the University of Mosul, Professor Dr. Wahid Al-Ibrahimi, the President of the University of Ninevah, Professor Dr. Osama Ismail Al-Mashhadani, the Head of the Nineveh Branch of the Iraqi Doctors’ Syndicate, Dr. Mohammed Suleiman Al-Houri, and the representative of the Director General of Nineveh Health Directorate, the graduates of the Colleges of Medicine at the University of Ninevah and the University of Mosul participated on Saturday, November 8, 2025, in the “Medical Conduct” course organized by the Doctors’ Syndicate – Nineveh Branch, in cooperation with the University of Mosul, held at the university theater.

The course began with welcoming speeches delivered by Professor Dr. Mazahim Al-Khayyat and Professor Dr. Wahid Al-Ibrahimi, who both emphasized the importance of this course in instilling professional values and ethics among new graduates and in building a medical conduct that aligns with the humanitarian mission of medicine.

In his speech, Professor Dr. Osama Al-Mashhadani expressed his appreciation for the initiative of the Doctors’ Syndicate in organizing this course, praising its significance in preparing and professionally qualifying graduates before entering the medical field, as it plays a vital role in refining communication skills and strengthening the spirit of medical responsibility.

The course included the performance of the medical oath and introductory lectures on the regulations and foundations of professional and medical conduct, presented by the Nineveh Branch of the Doctors’ Syndicate to medical graduates. It also featured discussions of practical case studies and real-life examples that help reinforce the principles of proper professional behavior.

This course comes within the framework of continuous cooperation between universities and health and professional institutions, aiming to enhance the professional and ethical performance of young doctors, thereby positively reflecting on the quality of medical services provided to the community.
