The College of Electronics Engineering Holds a Workshop Entitled “Mental Health and How to Deal with Stress”

In accordance with the directives of the President of the University of Ninevah, Prof. Dr. Osama Al-Mashhadani, and under the direct supervision of the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Khalid Khalil Mohammed, and as part of the college’s efforts to enhance awareness of mental health issues among its students, the Department of Communications Engineering organized a training workshop titled “Mental Health and How to Deal with Stress” on Wednesday, 19 November 2025.

The workshop was delivered by Asst. Lecturer Mohammed Faleh Badran and Asst. Lecturer Silwan Nabil Mahmoud, who focused on the main stressors that students may face during their academic journey and how these stressors affect concentration, academic performance, and overall well-being. They also discussed key practical strategies for dealing with stress, such as time management, setting priorities, and practicing breathing and relaxation techniques.

The workshop included practical activities that helped students identify sources of stress and learn how to manage them. It also provided guidance on the importance of seeking support when needed, whether from academic advisors or psychological specialists within the university.

The event witnessed notable interaction from the students, who actively participated with questions and discussions related to academic and personal situations, enriching the dialogue and enhancing awareness of ways to maintain psychological stability throughout the academic year.
