Honoring the Dean of the College of Information Technology within the Committee of Deans of Colleges of Computer Science and Information Technology

The President of the University of Karbala, Prof. Dr. Sabah Wajid Ali, honored the Dean of the College of Information Technology at the University of Nineveh, Prof. Dr. Manar Younis Kashmoula, during the recognition ceremony held for the Committee of Deans of Colleges of Computer Science and Information Technology in Iraq. The ceremony took place on the sidelines of the committee’s meeting hosted by the university and chaired by Dr. Soha Mohammed Hadi.

This recognition comes in appreciation of the committee’s active role in supporting the academic and technical journey, particularly its efforts in developing curricula and improving the educational and research environment in colleges of computer science and information technology across Iraqi universities.

Prof. Dr. Sabah Wajid praised the committee’s ongoing work, affirming that its efforts contribute significantly to advancing the technological sector, addressing labor market needs, and keeping pace with global developments in computer science and technology.

For their part, the members of the Committee of Deans expressed their gratitude to the Presidency of the University of Karbala for this honor, noting that it serves as additional motivation to continue working toward enhancing the status of technical disciplines and supporting joint research projects and academic programs among universities.

It is worth noting that the Committee of Deans of Colleges of Computer Science and Information Technology is considered one of the most important sectoral committees in the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, due to its pivotal role in shaping academic policies, updating curricula, and developing mechanisms for scientific cooperation with local and international institutions.
