In line with the directives of the President of the University of Ninevah, Prof. Dr. Osama Al-Mashhadani, to prepare students and enhance their practical skills, and under the direct supervision of the Dean of the College of Electronics Engineering, Prof. Dr. Khalid Khalil Mohammed, the Department of Electronic Engineering organized a scientific field trip to the Qayyarah Gas Power Station.
The visit aimed to introduce the department’s students to the operational mechanisms of gas power generation stations and to provide them with insights into their operating systems and electrical control units, thereby strengthening their practical experience and preparing them for professional life after graduation.
During the visit, the students learned about the stages of power production, the operation of generating units, and the protection and control systems. They also received a detailed explanation from specialized engineers regarding the equipment and devices used inside the station.
At the end of the visit, the Department of Electronic Engineering extends its thanks and appreciation to the administration of the Qayyarah Gas Power Station for their warm reception, hospitality, and cooperation in making this scientific activity a success.
