The Department of Media and Government Communication and the Center for Continuing EducationContribute to Enhancing English-Speaking Skills

The Department of Media and Government Communication at the University of Ninevah, in cooperation with the Center for Continuing Education, organized a training course entitled “No Grammar… Just Talk” as part of the annual plan to strengthen language skills and develop communication abilities among university staff and students.

The course was delivered by:

  • Asst. Lecturer Teeba Nedham Al-Khaffaf – Department of Media
  • Asst. Lecturer Ibrahim Nashwan Salem – College of Medicine
  • Asst. Lecturer Maha Abdullah Mohammed – College of Engineering

The course included a set of practical activities designed to develop English-speaking skills and to focus on overcoming the fear barrier when speaking English, in alignment with the university’s approach of adopting modern, interactive teaching methods that emphasize practical skill development.

The course was held in Dr. Khalil Sayyid Mar’i Hall from November 30 to December 2, 2025, and witnessed notable attendance from students and staff, who praised its usefulness and its direct impact on boosting their confidence in using the English language.

This activity comes as part of a series of training programs offered by the Department of Media and Government Communication and the Center for Continuing Education to support a modern educational environment that contributes to enhancing the skills of the university’s personnel.
