College of Electronic Engineering Organizes a Workshop Titled“Arabic Language: Between Beauty and Contemporary Challenges”

In line with the directives of the President of the University of Ninevah, Professor Dr. Osama Al-Mashhadani, and his great interest in the Arabic language, and under the direct supervision of the Dean of the College of Electronic Engineering, Professor Dr. Khalid Khalil Mohammed, reaffirming the University’s role in strengthening linguistic and cultural identity alongside scientific and engineering disciplines.

The Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Electronic Engineering organized a workshop entitled “Arabic Language: Between Beauty and Contemporary Challenges” as part of the unit’s activities to celebrate Arabic Language Day, which falls on 18 December. The workshop was held on Sunday, 21/12/2025.

The workshop was delivered by Asst. Lecturer Abdullah Mohammed Qadir, Asst. Lecturer Jwan Hussein Abdulhakim, and Asst. Lecturer Ikhlas Ahmed Bashir to students of the Department of Computer and Informatics Engineering, in the presence of a number of distinguished faculty members.

The lecture addressed multiple themes related to the aesthetics of the Arabic language and the most prominent contemporary challenges it faces, particularly in light of rapid technological advancement. The workshop witnessed strong interaction from students, with in-depth discussions of the topic, exploration of their views and suggestions, and consideration of ways to advance the status of the Arabic language and enhance its role within the academic environment.
