In reference to the directives of the President of the University of Ninevah, Professor Dr. Osama Al-Mashhadani, aimed at expanding horizons of cooperation with health institutions and supporting the medical sector in the city of Mosul, the Dean of the College of Medicine, Assistant Professor Dr. Mo’min Junaid Al-Dabouni, accompanied by the Administrative Assistant and a number of faculty members, conducted two separate visits to several health and specialized institutions in the governorate.
During the first visit, the college delegation met with Professor Dr. Rafi’ Al-Qazzaz, Director of the Mosul Training Center of the Arab Board of Health Specializations. The meeting discussed prospects for joint scientific and training cooperation, mechanisms for supporting educational programs, and ways to enhance clinical and specialized training, in a manner that serves the college’s students and health institutions in Nineveh Governorate.
In the second visit, the delegation visited Al-Hadbaa Specialized Hospital for Hematology and Bone Marrow Transplantation, where they were received by the hospital director, Dr. Madin Mohammed Fawzi. The delegation was briefed on the hospital’s departments through a field tour that included wards and specialized units, as well as operating rooms and theaters, to review the nature of work and available capabilities, and to explore opportunities for joint cooperation in clinical and research fields.
Through both visits, the College of Medicine – University of Ninevah reaffirmed its commitment to the directives of the University Presidency to enhance continuous communication and coordination with health institutions in the city of Mosul, in a way that contributes to the development of medical training, supports the healthcare sector, and serves the local community.
