Psychological Counseling Division“Shared Vision in the University Climate”

In reference to the directives of the respected President of the University of Ninevah, the University Psychological Counseling Division at the University Presidency held its first meeting with the heads of the University Psychological Counseling Units for the academic year 2025–2026 on Sunday, 28/12/2025. The meeting aimed to discuss a number of important topics intended to enhance counseling efforts and develop psychological support services provided to university students.

The meeting addressed the following issues:
• Psychological counseling activities for the academic year 2025–2026.
• Providing a dedicated and permanent phone line for the University Psychological Counseling Units.
• Activating and organizing the work and duties of the Psychological Counseling Division and its affiliated units.
• Assessing the condition of counseling rooms and records in the division and its units.
• The Psychological Counseling Division’s plan in coordination with the Quality Assurance Department.

The meeting concluded with several recommendations, most notably:
• Adhering to the implementation of activities approved by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
• Unifying the records of counselees across all University Psychological Counseling Units.
• Emphasizing the necessity of launching a hotline service for the University Psychological Counseling Units.
• Working toward providing an electronic platform that enables counselees to communicate with psychological counselors easily and efficiently.

This meeting comes within the framework of the University Presidency’s commitment to activating the university psychological counseling system, thereby contributing to the psychological and social support of students and fostering a safe and motivating university environment that promotes excellence and success.
