A delegation from the University of Ninevah, headed by the University President Prof. Dr. Osama Al-Mashhadani, accompanied by the Assistant President for Administrative Affairs Prof. Dr. Ammar Saadoun Hamid, along with a number of university faculty members, visited the home of Prof. Dr. Ahmed Qasim Al-Jumaa, the renowned historian and archaeologist and one of the prominent pillars of Mosul’s human and cultural heritage.
During the visit, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Qasim Al-Jumaa presented his book “A Session on the Banks of Mosuli Heritage” to the University President, affirming the vital role of universities in enriching societies with creative civilizational thought. In return, the University President honored him with the University of Ninevah Shield, along with a bouquet of flowers and a certificate of appreciation, in recognition of his outstanding role in preserving the cultural identity of the city of Mosul and his sustained scholarly and documentation efforts spanning decades in the service of history, heritage, and the city’s cultural memory.
This visit comes within the framework of the University of Ninevah’s commitment to honoring distinguished academic and cultural figures and strengthening communication with intellectual symbols who have contributed to safeguarding Mosul’s cultural heritage and passing it on to future generations.
