In line with the directives of the President of the University of Ninevah, Professor Dr. Osama Ismail Al-Mashhadani, aimed at strengthening scientific and academic cooperation with Iraqi universities, Professor Dr. Dhiaa Mohammed Al-Zubaidi, a faculty member in the Department of Biomedical Engineering / College of Electronic Engineering / University of Ninevah, chaired the Master’s thesis defense committee in the Department of Electrical Engineering / College of Engineering / University of Duhok.
The defense was held for the thesis of the student Mohammed Abdulrahman Rashid, which addressed a study of methods for improving data transmission in optical fibers within fifth-generation (5G) communication systems, a topic of significant scientific and practical importance in the development of modern communication technologies.
The defense took place at the Social and Cultural Club of the University of Duhok on Thursday, 8 January 2026, in the presence of a number of specialized faculty members and researchers, reflecting the depth of academic cooperation between universities.
