As part of the activities of the Continuing Education Unit and within its ongoing efforts to promote a culture of rigorous scientific research and enhance researchers’ capabilities, the College of Pharmacy / University of Ninevah held an in-person scientific lecture entitled “Scientific Research Methods” on Sunday, January 11, 2025.
The lecture aimed to enable researchers to acquire the essential skills required to prepare and publish their research in reputable scientific journals, in addition to raising awareness of the standards and ethics of scientific publishing.
The lecture was delivered by the Head of the Pharmaceutics Department, Lecturer Dr. Yasser Hazem, in the College of Pharmacy hall, and was attended by the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Maysar Mohammed Ali Al-Qoutji, along with the associate deans, heads of departments, and a number of faculty members.
The lecture addressed a range of important scientific topics, including the fundamentals of scientific research writing, mechanisms for selecting appropriate journals, publication requirements, as well as the most common mistakes made by researchers and ways to avoid them, contributing to the enhancement of the level of scientific output at the College.
