College of Nursing, University of Ninevah Organizes Scientific Lecture Entitled “Towards a University with Global Standards” with International Academic Participation

Under the patronage of the President of University of Ninevah, Professor Dr. Osama Al-Mashhadani, and under the supervision of Professor Dr. Radwan Hussein Ibrahim, Dean of the College of Nursing, the College of Nursing organized a scientific lecture titled “Towards a University with Global Standards”. The lecture was delivered by Professor Dr. Mundhir Hussein Al-Kadhimi, faculty member at King’s College London, in the presence of faculty members and students of the college.

During the lecture, Professor Al-Kadhimi presented the experience of King’s College London as one of the world’s leading research universities, highlighting systems of quality assurance and academic accreditation, mechanisms for curriculum development according to international standards, and the importance of supporting scientific research and publishing in high-impact journals. He also emphasized strengthening global academic partnerships to enhance the international ranking of educational institutions.

The speaker shared a set of practical recommendations applicable to the University of Ninevah and its College of Nursing, including upgrading educational laboratories, developing simulation-based clinical learning environments, expanding training and scholarship programs, and encouraging joint research and academic exchanges with international universities.

On the sidelines of the visit, the guest toured the college’s laboratories and classrooms, reviewing available resources and providing constructive academic observations aimed at supporting the ongoing development of teaching quality and enhancing educational outcomes.

This initiative aligns with the University of Ninevah’s strategic vision to engage with reputable international academic experiences and to advance institutional development toward achieving the goal of becoming a university with global standards.
