University of Ninevah Hosts the In-Person Final Examinations of the Mosul Prize for Rhetoric with Broad Participation Exceeding 2,000 Contestants

The University of Ninevah hosted today, Saturday, February 28, 2026, the in-person final examinations of the Mosul Prize for Rhetoric in a major scientific and cultural event considered one of the most prominent linguistic activities at the governorate level. The event witnessed the participation of more than 2,000 contestants representing various educational institutions and community sectors.

The examinations were conducted in a highly organized atmosphere after the university completed all logistical and academic preparations. Examination halls were prepared at the Colleges of Pharmacy, Information Technology, and Law, providing a well-organized and suitable environment that contributed to the success of this important intellectual milestone.

The event was attended by the President of the University of Ninevah, Professor Dr. Osama Al-Mashhad and; Mr. Mohammed Ibrahim Al-Obaidi, Director General of the Nineveh Directorate of Education; Professor Dr. Ammar Saadoun Hamed, Assistant President for Administrative Affairs; and members of the Higher Organizing Committee. They reviewed the examination procedures and organizational mechanisms, praising the efforts exerted in ensuring the success of this event, which reflects Mosul’s renewed presence as a city of knowledge, language, and creativity.

The atmosphere was marked by remarkable vitality and distinguished academic and cultural engagement, reflecting the strong interest in the sciences of Arabic rhetoric and emphasizing the importance of nurturing young talents and developing their expressive and intellectual abilities within a solid academic environment.
