Two lecturers from the University of Ninevah participate in a PhD dissertation defense committee at University of Mosul

Within the framework of enhancing scientific and academic cooperation between Iraqi universities, two lecturers—Professor Dr. Dhiaa Mohammed Ali from the College of Electronic Engineering and Assistant Professor Dr. Azhar Sabah Abdulaziz from the College of Information Technology—participated in a PhD dissertation defense committee at the College of Engineering, University of Mosul.

The defense took place on Sunday, March 15, 2026, in the discussion hall of the Computer Engineering Department, for the student Qasim Abdullah Ahmed, on his dissertation entitled:
“Multimodal Biometric System Using Artificial Intelligence.”

The dissertation addressed the development of an advanced system for identifying individuals by integrating more than one biometric trait, such as facial features and gait, based on artificial intelligence techniques, with the aim of increasing the accuracy of verification and identification systems.
