A Faculty Member from the College of Medicine at the University of Ninevah Participates as Examiner and Supervisor in a Master’s Thesis Defense on Osteoporosis Diagnosis Using Artificial Intelligence

As part of interdisciplinary scientific collaboration between medical and engineering fields, Assistant Professor Dr. Khalid Ghanem Majeed, a faculty member in the Department of Medical Physiology at the College of Medicine / University of Ninevah, participated as both an examiner and supervisor in the defense of a technical master’s thesis in Biomedical Engineering, entitled:

“Diagnosing Osteoporosis Using Artificial Intelligence Techniques”

The thesis, submitted by researcher Ahmed Khalid Abdullah, demonstrated that osteoporosis is a common disease characterized by decreased bone density and structural weakness, which increases the risk of fractures. It emphasized that early diagnosis is a crucial factor in reducing complications and improving the quality of healthcare provided to patients.

At the conclusion of the defense, the thesis was successfully approved, and the researcher was awarded a Master’s degree in recognition of his scientific efforts in applying artificial intelligence techniques to serve the medical field.
