The University of Ninevah participated in the activities of the ministerial conference organized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research under the title “Knowledge Economy: Entrepreneurial Universities and a Sustainable Economy.” The conference was hosted by the University of Baghdad at Al-Hakim Hall from April 14 to 15, 2026, with broad participation from Iraqi universities and a number of private sector partners.
The university was represented at this scientific event by Prof. Dr. Jaafar Ramadan Mohammed, Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs, accompanied by the Director of the Science and Technology Parks Department. The first day of the conference featured a speech by the Deputy Minister for Scientific Affairs, in which he reviewed the Ministry’s vision for supporting innovation and enhancing the role of entrepreneurial universities. This was followed by a panel discussion involving several officials, including the Deputy Minister for Scientific Research Affairs, the Advisor to the Prime Minister/Director of the Directorate of Entrepreneurship and Excellence, the Director General of the Human Development Department at the Ministry of Planning, the Director General of the Research and Development Department, and the Director General of the Studies, Planning, and Follow-up Department.
