As part of the cooperation agreement with the Northern Technical University, Asst. Prof. Dr. Diaa Mohammed Ali, a faculty member at the College of Electronics Engineering, chaired the defense committee for a technical master’s thesis at the Technical College of Mosul/Northern Technical University. The thesis was titled:
“Enhance and Assess a Cyber-Security System Based on Hybrid AI”
The technical master’s thesis in Computer Engineering Technologies, presented by the researcher Amer Mohammed Shehatha Hamad, focused on malware classification using machine learning. It involved analyzing and classifying malware by leveraging modern machine learning techniques and algorithms to mitigate virus attacks and enhance data protection.
The thesis aimed to develop a flexible system for malware detection by utilizing:
1. Artificial intelligence methodologies.
2. Classification and identification of cyber-attacks.
3. Preventing programmers from accessing sensitive data.
4. Improving algorithm selection by optimizing parameters.
The Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Majid Khalil Najm, attended part of the defense session, along with several faculty members and postgraduate students.
The defense committee was composed of the following members:
1. Prof. Dr. Diaa Mohammed Ali – Chair
