A faculty member from the College of Electronics Engineering earns a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering.On Monday, April 1, 2024, at Mosul University’s College of Engineering/Computer Engineering Department, Dr. Zeena Ali Mohammed Shareef,

responsible for the Performance Evaluation Division in the Quality Assurance Department, obtained her Ph.D. in Computer Engineering/Computer Networks for her thesis titled “Efficient and Secure Wireless Controller Network for Autonomous Electric Vehicles.”The discussion was attended by the President of Mosul University, Dr. Qusay Kamal Al-Deen Al-Ahmadi, the Vice President for Scientific Affairs, Dr. Munir Salem Taha, the Dean of the College of Engineering, and a group of faculty members and postgraduate students.The thesis presented by the researcher addressed the study of self-driving electric vehicles, the need for them, and ways to develop them. The aim of the thesis was to connect the car to a wireless network controlled by cameras, radar, and optical sensors. After listening to the researcher’s defense of her thesis, she was awarded a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering/Computer Networks with distinction.Dr. Osama Al-Mashhadani, President of Ninawa University, and the College of Electronics Engineering congratulated the researcher on obtaining her Ph.D. with distinction, wishing her further success and progress in serving our esteemed university.
