A Faculty Member from the College of Law Participates in the 8th International Conference on Sharia and Law (8th ICOSL 2024)

In accordance with the directives of the President of the University of Ninevah, Prof. Dr. Osama Ismail Al-Mashhadani, to participate in scientific and academic events, and with the support of the Dean of the College of Law, Prof. Dr. Zina Ghanem Al-Obaidi, as well as the esteemed academic standing of the faculty members of the College of Law,

The Assistant Dean of the College of Law for Administrative Affairs, Dr. Saad Abdul Wahab Issa Al-Sheikh, participated in the 8th International Conference on Sharia and Law, themed “The Role of Sharia in Maintaining Family Stability,” which was held at the Sultan Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah International Islamic University in Malaysia.

The conference was attended by the Chief of Sharia Courts in the state of Kedah, the Dean of the Faculty of Law at Sultan Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah International Islamic University, and the President of the Muslim Union in Malaysia.

Dr. Saad Al-Sheikh, through his virtual participation, presented an outstanding research paper titled “Legal Rulings on Conjoined Twins in Light of Islamic Sharia and Iraqi Personal Status Law.” His paper was among 21 academic papers and 3 poster presentations that shed light on topics related to the role of Sharia courts in family matters. His proposals were well-received by the conference’s scientific committee. We pray for the success and progress of our beloved university’s faculty members.
