As part of the activities of the Erbil International Conference on Otolaryngology and Skull Base Surgery,
Dr. Shaalan Muflih Hadeed, a faculty member at the College of Medicine, participated in the scientific sessions of the conference. His participation included delivering a specialized scientific lecture titled “Modern Approaches to Treating Skull Base Deformities Using Endoscopic Transnasal Surgery.”
Dr. Shaalan, who specializes in endoscopic skull base surgery, presented the latest international techniques used in this delicate type of operation and highlighted their significance in reducing risk levels and improving therapeutic outcomes for patients.
The lecture drew wide interest from participants and specialists due to its inclusion of advanced clinical and scientific expertise. This participation reflects the College’s commitment to scientific and academic openness, a policy consistently emphasized by Assistant Professor Dr. Mo’men Junaid Al-Dabouni, Dean of the College of Medicine.
