In line with the vision of the College of Pharmacy at the University of Ninevah to support active academic participation and enhance the presence of its teaching staff in international scientific forums, Dr. Younis Ahmed Ismail, a faculty member of the college, took part in the 9th International Conference on Technology, Engineering, and Science (ICONTES), held in Antalya, Turkey, from 12–15 November 2025.
His participation in the conference culminated in presenting his research titled:
“Eco-Friendly Recovery Method for Manufacturing Flexible Pavers Tile Construction from Waste Plastics”,
which offers an innovative scientific proposal for recycling plastic waste and converting it into flexible construction materials, in alignment with global trends toward promoting sustainability and reducing the environmental impact of waste.
The conference witnessed wide participation from researchers and experts representing universities and research centers from various countries around the world. Its scientific sessions provided an important platform for presenting the latest developments and discussing pioneering research in the fields of technology, engineering, and science.
This participation reflects the College of Pharmacy’s commitment to advancing scientific research, engaging with international experiences, and reinforcing its role in keeping pace with scientific developments that contribute to elevating both the academic and service sectors in Iraq.
