The Master’s thesis at the University of Ninevah / College of Electronics Engineering / Department of Electronic Engineering, submitted by the student Raghad Waleed Mohammed on Thursday, May 15, 2025, was titled:
“Corona Lung Disease Recognition Using Machine Learning Techniques”
The thesis focused on the identification of pulmonary diseases, particularly those caused by the Coronavirus, such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), using machine learning techniques—specifically deep learning algorithms and the Raspberry Pi device. The goal was to provide an early detection service for lung diseases (such as acute pneumonia) from X-ray images. This work is considered a valuable contribution, offering low-cost diagnostic tools for healthcare support institutions.
