A Master’s thesis at the University of Ninevah investigates (High Power On-Board Battery Charging for Electric Vehicles)

On Wednesday, July 31, 2024, a Master’s thesis in the College of Electronics Engineering at the University of Ninevah by student Ali Hussein Sultan explored (High Power On-Board Battery Charger for Electric Vehicle).

The study focused on developing an integrated charging system for electric vehicles by utilizing the components used during the driving phase (the electric motor and the inverter) without the need for external components, based on the premise that the vehicle remains stationary during the charging period.

The study aimed to model a seven-phase induction motor with the development of a smooth and more reliable driving system against external disturbances, understand the types of chargers for electric vehicles, and create an integrated charging system for electric vehicles based on the motor and inverter used during the driving phase.

The discussion committee consisted of the following members:

  1. Prof. Dr. Khalid Khalil Mohammed, Chairman.
  2. Asst.Prof. Dr. Yasser Mohammed Younis, Member.
  3. Asst. Prof. Abdullah Ibrahim Abdullah, Member.
  4. Asst. Prof. Dr. Harith Ahmed Mohammed, Member, and Supervisor.
